The couple, longtime residents of Wanatah, Indiana, died as they were preparing to build their dream cabin overlooking their pond and surrounding property. Their family described their passing as a transition from their “Heaven on Earth” to their eternal home in Heaven.

A graduate of LaCrosse High School's Class of 1984, Todd attended Southwestern Michigan College, where he played basketball, and later earned certificates from Purdue University.
Todd was a fourth-generation, lifelong farmer who proudly described himself as an “Agricultural Engineer.” He devoted his life to farming and owned Circle R Farm and Hoosier Quality Meats with his wife. He also raised Rosenbaum show cattle and show pigs.
Outside of farming, Todd enjoyed Purdue basketball, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Diesel. He was also known for his loyalty to John Deere farm equipment.
Remembering Tricia Rosenbaum
Patricia Jean Rosenbaum was born February 7, 1966, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Garland Raymond and Shirley (Ridge) Weaver.
Tricia attended Elston High School in Michigan City before graduating from Mark Keppel High School in Monterey Park, California, in 1984. She later earned her real estate license through McColly School of Real Estate and spent approximately 30 years working as a real estate insurance agent.
After retiring, Tricia became a full-time farmer alongside Todd. She especially enjoyed feeding their cattle and working in the fields.
Her other passions included spending time with her grandchildren, reading her Bible, relaxing beside the pond, and taking anniversary trips with Todd to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She was also a member of Wanatah American Legion Post 403 and served as a Cass Township Board member.
A Life Built Together
Todd and Tricia were married on September 3, 1994, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wanatah. The couple previously attended the church and spent more than three decades building a life and family together.
They also enjoyed using CB radios and were known by their handles, “Aqua” and “Cow Pie Patty.”
Their greatest joy came from their children and grandchildren. The couple leaves behind their children, Alexandria Bucher, Jillian Rosenbaum, and Jonathan (Lauren) Rosenbaum, as well as five grandchildren who knew them lovingly as “Nana” and “Papa”: Laken Blasko, Bane Bucher, Adilynn and Ireland Garrison, and Vaeda Rosenbaum.
Todd is survived by his sisters, Michelle (Joe) Dyjak and Renee (Joe) Rudolph, along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Drew Rhed.
Tricia is survived by her siblings, Terry (Donna) Manley and Kristina (Donald O’Brien) Marshall, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susie Acker.
Todd and Tricia Rosenbaum Funeral Services
Visitation for Todd and Tricia will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wanatah American Legion Post 403, 203 S. Washington St., Wanatah.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 15496 S. 900 W., Wanatah. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. immediately before the service.
Wanatah Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to St. John's Lutheran Church of Wanatah or LaPorte County 4-H Cattle and Swine.
